Don Jarker

The Relating Rhymer

Don Jarker is a severely plight impaired poet who lives in John Darker’s brain, somewhere between the right hemisphere and the temporoparietal junction. The Relating Rhymer endeavours to write (more or less) humour verse of a more accessible nature.

Full name Donald T. Jarker (but nobody knows what the ‘T’ stands for) loves to write rhymories (rhyming stories) about characters and events that reside on the boundary between potential fact and definite fiction.

Serving up sharp, comic poems about the ridiculous habits and catastrophes of grown‑ups. You can expect eccentric characters, bonkers stories and generous absurdity in playful rhyme. Plus, the occasional limerick.

If you like poems that make you grin and then think.

You’re in the right place.

The Relating Rhymer is standing and smiling with his mouth slightly open. His left arm is bent upward with his hand touching the brim of his cap, giving a relaxed, friendly pose. He has light skin, some grey facial hair in a short beard. He is wearing a mustard yellow cap and an orange-brown textured overshirt with large chest pockets and dark buttons. Under the overshirt, a dark T shirt is partly visible at the collar. In contrast, the background is solid purple.
